Karen is an award-winning television producer and director with more than 30 years’ experience creating films and documentaries for the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV, National Geographic and Discovery Networks.
Her career has taken her to 92 countries, filming stories across travel, history, natural history, medicine, food, engineering, design, and beyond. This breadth of experience gives Karen a rare ability to uncover the human story at the heart of any subject.
Now, through her bespoke documentary company, Karen creates beautifully crafted, deeply personal films for individuals and families who want to preserve their history, legacy and memories in a lasting cinematic form.
An experienced camerawoman as well as a producer-director, Karen has worked with everything from high-end broadcast cameras to an iPhone. For her, the equipment is only part of the process. The real craft lies in knowing how to tell the story, how to make people feel comfortable on camera, and how to capture the moments that matter.
